Psychosocial Safety and Culture Uplift at Regional Investment Corporation

A focused people-powered engagement building psychosocial safety capability, leadership confidence, and the design and delivery of an internal training model across a nationally significant government lender.

The Situation

Organisational Context

What this case explores

The starting point

Regional Investment Corporation plays a critical role in the lives of regional Australian farmers and communities, and with that comes a particular kind of organisational pressure. Leaders and staff alike navigate complex, high-stakes decisions in an industry where the workforce has to respond to complex environmental pressure points such as drought, bushfires, and fuel prices.

RIC engaged People Powered to build psychosocial safety and culture capability across the organisation as an investment in how people experience their work and how leaders show up for their teams.

Where Purpose Meets Pressure

The Solution

From design to delivery

We worked in close partnership with RIC’s People and Culture and Executive teams to design a coaching roadmap that would meet the organisation where it was, and build the internal infrastructure to support the people leaders.

Coaching Roadmap Design

Partnering with the People and Culture and Executive teams to co-design a structured coaching roadmap, ensuring the program was aligned with RIC’s strategic priorities, culture context, and leadership pipeline needs.

Leadership Coaching

Delivering focused coaching across two cohorts spanning middle managers through to Executive Directors, creating space for leaders at every level to build capability, navigate complexity, and lead with greater confidence and clarity.

All Staff Culture Training

Designing and delivering whole-of-organisation culture training to build shared language, strengthen psychological safety, and connect every team member to the values and behaviours that shape how RIC works.

Psychosocial Safety Education

Partnering with the People and Culture team to design a psychosocial safety education framework, training, and toolkit for leaders. Building internal capability through a train-the-trainer model, so RIC’s People and Culture team can continue to educate, respond, and evolve from within.

The Outcome

Impact in practice

People Powered’s partnership with RIC has rolled into year two and beyond the initial engagement. We continue to work alongside RIC’s People and Culture function and people leaders, providing ongoing support, coaching, and capability development as the organisation evolves. It is the kind of relationship we value most: one built on trust, shared purpose, and a commitment to the people doing the work.
