Building confident, connected leaders through shared capability, collaboration, and peer practice across regions.
Challenge Community Services are a large, multi-regional community services organisation operating across NSW and QLD within a complex, people-centred environment.
At the time of partnering with People Powered, the organisation had recently completed a realignment of its Disability Services portfolio. This period of change saw many leaders stepping into newly defined roles, working across reshaped teams, and holding different responsibilities.
With more than 80 leaders across operational, practice, and support roles, Challenge recognised this as a critical moment to intentionally strengthen leadership capability, peer connection, and consistency of practice across regions.
This wasn’t about running a leadership program.
It was about supporting leaders to shape their roles with confidence, clarity, and shared direction.
Following the organisational change, leaders were navigating new scopes, expectations, and ways of working — often while building relationships and trust within reconfigured roles and teams.
The organisation understood that sustainable leadership strength would come from collective learning and peer connection, not from expecting leaders to figure it out alone.
People Powered partnered with Challenge Community Services to design and deliver a 12-month Leadership and Practice Strengthening Program, grounded in the realities of disability services and responsive to the organisation’s new operating model.
Leadership was positioned as a collective, relational practice, especially critical during organisational transition.
