Leadership and Culture Uplift at AgriFutures

A 12-month people-powered partnership focused on strengthening leadership capability, psychological safety, and culture across a national organisation.

What this case explores

The starting point

AgriFutures Australia was committed to strengthening its workplace culture and leadership capability while improving employee engagement and wellbeing. Recognising the need for a proactive and human-centred approach, AgriFutures partnered with us to design and deliver a 12-month program to enhance leadership effectiveness, psychological safety, and overall team morale.

The engagement began with a sensemaking phase, including co-designing a workplace culture, wellbeing, and engagement survey. Interviewing staff and ELT. The results provided key insights into organisational strengths and growth areas, including a clear opportunity to improve emotional wellbeing, psychosocial risk and leadership alignment across departments. This process included interviewing a cross-section of employees to gauge culture moving from survey data to human centric voices.

The solution brought together multiple streams of work, aligned under a clear engagement and wellbeing roadmap that informed the broader program design.

The Outcome

Impact in practice

The program delivered significant positive outcomes for AgriFutures Australia. A measurable shift in employee engagement and psychosocial wellbeing. Leaders reported improved clarity, confidence, and capability in navigating change and leading with empathy.

The program also fostered stronger relationships across departments, with team coaching circles enhancing communication and trust. Client Reflections

As a government agency, it was critical for us to engage knowledgeable, credible consultants to design a program tailored to our unique needs. We received eight proposals through a competitive RFQ process, and the program design submitted by Jessica and Natalie stood out immediately for its strategic depth, innovation, and alignment with our goals.

Throughout our 12-month engagement, Jess, Natalie and team delivered to an outstanding standard. What began as a leadership development initiative quickly expanded in scope due to the team’s broad expertise and value-add. We extended the work to include workforce sensing, team coaching, HR and ELT support, on-demand coaching, psychosocial risk management, compliance guidance, and mentoring program design, all delivered with professionalism and insight.

Their approach has been transformative for our organisation, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others seeking impactful and future-focused leadership and culture solutions.
